Education

I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2012 with a ACS Certified B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a GPA of 3.84.

Experience

Over the past two years, I have been a T.A in general chemistry lab and then organic chemistry lecutre, holding office hours and privately tutoring students. I have found teaching to be particularly rewarding, helping students learn and gaining a fuller understanding of the material in the process. I have taken 2 general chemistry, 3 organic chemistry, 2 inorganic chemistry, 2 biochemistry, 2 physical chemistry, and 2 analytical chemistry classes, getting A's in each. In the process, I have been awarded the Dr. Charles Miskell Memorial Endowed Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and the ACS 2012 Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry at SUNY Geneseo, we well as being inducted into the chemistry honor society, Gamma Sigma Epsilon, and a national honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Outside of classwork, I have done two full years of research, including 2 summers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and biochemistry research at SUNY Geneseo.
